The Chicken Little’s Mantra ‘The Sky is Falling’
What I notice is eveything is relative to your point of view?
Over breakfast at the ’MoonRock’ restuarant, some of my colleagues at Equinox expressed their concerns about the economy and how business was slow due to the market. They are not the only ones expressing their fears and feelings. I think these fears and feelings need to be placed into it’s proper context. I do not want people to do irrational things out of fear. I, personally, do not want to fall into the chicken little philosophy.
The “sky is falling” mantra is for the chicken littles of the world. Not for those who will change and grow and do something proactive with the world.
Guess what?
You and I have heard “the sky is falling” before and we are still standing here.
While I do not want to belittle any of our national problems, I know we can overcome our challenges.
Each of us must focus on our inner development and recharge our life force (chi) and make our personal efforts matter.
I do want to give my chi to the news, the media, and/or the chicken littles around me. I would rather give my life force back to myself.
If I can work to make myself better, the world will be better as well.
Are you making the world better or you running around singing Chicken Little’s mantra?
