Do you want to know the secret of how early human beings kept healthy, lean, and fit by eating a special combination of trail mix?

About ten thousand years ago, early humans were hunters and gathers. The hunters of the tribe worked hard in tracking and hunting down large and dangerous mammals. Our early ancestors had it tough when they had to score food. Only armed with homemade tools like the spears and human intelligence, they learned how to work together and adapt to their cruel and harsh environments.

It is just amazing we, as a species, are here today considering the competition and conditions of our ancestors. Just know that we are indeed the sons and daughters of biological winners in the long chain of natural selection.

Off the tangent Insight: (If our ancestors can survive the ice age, nasty life killing germs, the dangerous beasts with sharp teeth and claws, and a limited supply of food, we can overcome our current financial problems You are indeed winners and deserve to be here in the eyes of evolutionary biologists. So cherish this moment and work to overcome our financial challenges like our ancestors did with their challenges. )

So obtaining food wasn’t easy for them, but they had other ways to keep their bodies fueled for their long hunts. Their secret was a perfect blend of natural trail mix made of dried fruits, nuts, herbs, and other foods, which they could easily carried with them on their hunts.

What were the exact ingredients in their trail mixed? It was never recorded, but we can guess based on what the nomads today use as their trail mixed. You can look it up for yourself. I bet some of you may be disgusted my some of their exotic ingredients like grasshoppers, locusts, and, mmm yummy, dried up meat organs.

Right now I want to share with you a special blend that I have made to meet my daily needs as an athlete and on the go Coach. I like raw foods but I am DEFINITELY not a raw food person. FYI: There is a diet called RAW FOOD-think Vegan but hardcore. No meats. No cooked foods. Just RAW veggies and fruits.

Raw Food marketed companies like Navitas Natural www.navitasnatural.com makes an excellent trail mixed that is extremely healthy and tasty in my opinion. If you are used to eating junk food, then many of the simple, unrefined, wholesome foods may taste like shit to you? I hope your old taste buds will get use to this new treat! Trust me, it taste good once you detox your tongue/body from the junk and white stuff (sugar, flour, and crack).

You can make your own trail mix like me.

  • One ounce of organic goji berries
  • One ounce of raw cacao nips or less (it has a bitter taste)
  • One ounce of mulberries
  • One ounce of golden berries
  • One ounce of nuts (raw cashews or almonds)

Mix up these ingredients well and carry with you at work. I recommend snacking only a handful in between meals when you are hungry, before you workout and after you work out.This trail mix is powerful and loaded with a lot natural goodness. PS:Go to your health store for these item at the raw food section. And please beware that eating too much of this caveman’s trail mix may cause you to go to the rest room. ;) Drink plenty of water, folks. Be mindful if you have to cleanse yourself.
